The model of 4.3-10 male cable connector is 4310-JB3.4.3-10 connectors offer the same, robust design as 7-16 connectors but are smaller and up to 40% lighter, allowing for much more dense, lighter weight applications. These designs are IP67 compliant when mated to protect against dust and water ingress for outdoor applications, and provide excellent VSWR performance up to 6 GHz. Separate electrical and mechanical components yield very stable PIM performance regardless of coupling torque, allowing for easier installation.
Introduced in 2012, the 4.3-10 interface successfully replaced the 7-16 connector in radios and antennas. The increasing miniaturization of telecommunications equipment and the demand for improved passive intermodulation (PIM) performance necessitated the development of a smaller, lighter, easier-to-install, and more reliable connector. The 4.3-10 connector is available in two connection options: a screw-on 4.3-10 plug with a hexagonal nut that requires a torque wrench for installation, and a quick-lock 4.3-10 plug (also known as a push-on plug) with a knurled nut for tool-free installation.
